Open day at K.E.M.

2008 Open day turned out to be the largest crowd which have attended any of the K.E.M. Open Days so far, 1350

Carharrack and St Day band provided musical entertainment from the marquee.

Right the Holman Winder was set in motion several times during the day by the aid of compressed air.

K.E.M. open day is attracting many more tractors and stationary engines each year.

Left... Visitors were invited to help support K.E.M. by becoming  members of the Friends of King Edward Mine. (See separate Friends News sheet on this web site)

Left....New on show this year was the almost completed Frue Vanner which has been re assembled by the volunteers at K.E.M using some original and some remanufactured parts.
